Job title: Frijj Production Operative - Internal Applicants Only

Description: We are currently recruiting for a Frijj Production Operative at our Severnside Site to undertake relevant Production duties, ensuring smooth running of operations and delivery of the daily Production Plan.

Your challenge

In this role the key responsibilities will include:

• To maintain and continually improve product quality, legality and food safety to meet and exceed set standards
• To maintain high standards of GMP and assist continuous improvement activities in your area of work
• Maintain/improve internal and external customer requirements
• Ensure manufacturing standards are attained, reporting into the TSM
• Understand the site requirements to meet production, quality & HSE demands against KPIs in the area(s) through effective work based skills
• Possess the ability to fault diagnose normal running faults to aid engineering resolutions quickly and effectively
• Understanding of machine SRC’s
• Work with a 5 crew 24/7 operation environment under an annualized hours arrangement
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance on-shift including hazard near miss reporting
• Ensure Quality compliance on-shift and make recommendations for improvements
• Understand operational SOP’s and GMP and Asset care functions
• Be involved in Continuous Improvement programs through employee engagement program
• Drive own efficiency in area(s) to meet and exceed manufacturing budgeted targets
• Having a flexible approach and ability to help the business where appropriate
• Take responsibility for performance compliance
• Demonstrate and promote the company values and principles
• Take ownership of the apparatus throughout the department, to gain an operation understanding of how the equipment runs and the line(s) operate
• Actively undertake any training and development to provide effective succession planning and develop a high performing team
• Work with the team to identify, implement and sustain cost saving initiatives
• Deliver business initiatives to reduce waste
• Ensure all dairy plant and equipment is appropriately cared for by raising issues to Team Leader
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards and requirements

• Strong desire to drive for results for the Business
• Results orientated with attention to detail
• Ability to work under own initiative in a high speed environment
• Resilience in the face of technical issues
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Relevant food manufacturing qualification is desirable
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Relevant Health & Safety Training
